Juliana was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Her interest in Meditation and Yoga was awakened during her teens when her mother introduced her to her first Yoga class. Her connection to yoga and the spiritual path strengthened through her daily practice self study and curiosity. She was inspired by her teacher and mentor Olga Montanes. In 1985 after graduating from College, Juliana moved to the United States, where soon she found herself teaching small groups and private sessions. Seeing the interest in yoga in the States she began to teach in gyms and by 1990, Juliana had introduced Yoga to health spa's and gyms around the neighborhood of Sunrise, Coral Springs and Ft.Lauderdale.
Wanting to learn more about the body and how it works she started to take courses on Anatomy and Physiology at the Florida Fitness Institute, and by 1993 she had successfully completed the training courses for fitness instructor and personal trainer. In 1996, she traveled to Nassau, Bahamas for a one month intensive Yoga course; she was awarded an International Certification at the Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy.
Hungry for spiritual growth she continued studying all kinds of yoga, and in 2002 she completed a 9 month training program for an International certification in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, and was awarded this certificate by The Kundalini Research Institute.
On November 12, 2006 Juliana completed The Radiant Child Yoga Program, Level 1, and the Radiant Child Yoga Program, Level 2. She is a registered yoga teacher with the National Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour levels of training. She has guided many toward thoughtful wisdom and inspired them to become Yoga Instructors. Her yoga clients today include doctors, nurses, college students, mothers, lawyers, teachers, musicians, and others who deal with high stress every day, check testimonies.
After 28 years of practice and education, she continues to develop herself and her teaching through lectures and workshops in the Western Hemisphere to broaden her knowledge and pass it on to others.
Currently Juliana is focusing her studies in
Raja yoga also known as The Royal Path. Raja Yoga emphasizes control of the intellect to attain enlightenment. Meditation, concentration, and breath control are paramount in Raja Yoga, the yoga of the mind. Hatha and Raja yoga work well together; Hatha yoga is often considered a stepping stone to Raja Yoga because after control of the body is mastered, control of the mind comes more easily.
Juliana is also certified as a Reiki healer.
